I understand that your first session of pelvic floor physical therapy can have you feeling apprehensive, but I work hard to ensure that you feel safe and welcome. My 1:1 evaluations last ~90 minutes, and will cover a lot of the same ground as a typical physical therapy evaluation. We will start with a warm conversation about your history, experience, symptoms, and goals. We will then go through assessment of your strength, movement, posture, breathing and any other pertinent musculoskeletal factors. When indicated, a brief external and/or internal pelvic exam can be a very valuable tool for understanding what’s going on in your body, but this is performed entirely based on your consent, comfort, and readiness. Even if you never feel quite ready for this type of assessment, there is still so much I can do to help!
Your first session will also include education, treatment, a care plan based on your goals, and a home program to get started right away.

Operating out-of-network allows me to avoid the restrictions imposed by insurance companies, including delays in care, capped visit limits, pre-authorization requirements, and outright denials. This means I can often see you sooner, 1:1 for 60-90 minutes, and for as long a duration of care as it takes to meet your goals.
I do provide a detailed superbill for all visits. Superbills can be submitted to your insurance company to seek reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits or to go towards your out-of-network deductible. I also accept FSA/HSA as payment.

No! New Jersey is a "Direct Access" state, meaning a physician referral is not legally required to begin physical therapy. However, I often still communicate with your provider of choice in order to optimize your care and healing.

Pelvic health physical therapy is whole lot more than kegeling! There are many instances where unsupervised strengthening of the pelvic floor does more harm than good. It’s so important to work with a pelvic health professional who will do a thorough evaluation and provide expert, individualized guidance to help you reach your goals.
